Dr. Silao was my grandmothers doctor. My grandmother had many symptoms of cancer which he did not diagnose for the past 4 years. It wasn't until she was dying that we found out from other doctors that the symptoms she had been complaining of consistently for 3 years was a sign of her cancer. No testing was done and her symptoms did not resolve. Shame on this doctor, absolute shame. The nurses and other doctors at the hospital complained about him to us, then even the hospice program nurses and staff shuddered at his name. My grandmother may have been "old" but she was extremely healthy otherwise and her cancer had it been caught was very treatable, he robbed us of her. It sickens me to think of this doctor. I met him when she was in the hospital and I asked him questions about her anatomy and what was being affected, I used terms that I learned in basic level biology and he was stumped. He said my grandmother had referred pain from the sack that surrounds the liver, I said, the peritoneum? He said what? I said the sack that surrounds the liver is the peritoneum? He said oh I don't know... STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR.
